Changing the Communications Module

Replace Cellular Module with Wifi Module¶

• Remove the four exterior screws.
• Lift the device head.
• Disconnet the battery power jumper from the battery retainer plate.
• Place device head upside down on a table. Identify two grey antenna wires, as shown below.
• Use your fingers to gently diconnect the antena connectors from the module.
• Extract the comminications module by grabbing between your fingers and gently pull up.
• Place the Wifi module into the empty slot as shown below.
• Gently snap the gray antenna wire connected to the left-most antenna connector (see arrow) to the WiFi module. The second gray antenna wire shouldn't be connected.
• Reconnect the battery power jumper to the battery retainer plate.
• Replace the device head on the base
• Tighten the four exterior screws.
• Use the device WiFi commands to configure the SSID and password by connecting to the device using the USV cable and a terminal emulator.

Replace WiFi Module with Cellular Module¶

• Follow the steps above in reverse.
• After inserting the cellular communications module, use the image below to connect the two gray antenna wires to the proper connectors on the module.
• No configuration should be required if using the SIM supplied by Inzwa.
