Changing the Communications Module
These instructions only apply to the Veva III - E01 or W01 models
Replace Cellular Module with Wifi Module¶
- Remove the four exterior screws.
- Lift the device head.
- Disconnet the battery power jumper from the battery retainer plate.
- Place device head upside down on a table. Identify two grey antenna wires, as shown below.
- Use your fingers to gently diconnect the antena connectors from the module.
- Extract the comminications module by grabbing between your fingers and gently pull up.
- Place the Wifi module into the empty slot as shown below.
- Gently snap the gray antenna wire connected to the left-most antenna connector (see arrow) to the WiFi module. The second gray antenna wire shouldn't be connected.
- Reconnect the battery power jumper to the battery retainer plate.
- Replace the device head on the base
- Tighten the four exterior screws.
- Use the device WiFi commands to configure the SSID and password by connecting to the device using the USV cable and a terminal emulator.
Replace WiFi Module with Cellular Module¶
- Follow the steps above in reverse.
- After inserting the cellular communications module, use the image below to connect the two gray antenna wires to the proper connectors on the module.
- No configuration should be required if using the SIM supplied by Inzwa.
