Introduction

Inzwa Cloud is our device-agnostic platform for managing geotechnical sensors and devices. The platform makes it simple to manage devices on your customer's projects, manage data in real-time and generate hassle-free reports automatically.

If you are new to Inzwa Cloud, please review the Concepts and Definitions below to gain an understanding of how the platform is structured. Then we suggest you then read the Getting Started section to learn how to navigate the platform.

Concepts and Definitions

This section provides the main concepts and their definitions of the Inzwa Cloud platform.

Customers

A customer is an individual or business for which monitoring projects are performed. A Customer can be given access to the platform to view and manage data in real-time. The customer can view historical data of past projects and take appropriate actions on alarm events. Projects, Customer Users, and Distribution Groups are related to a customer. Access Manage Customers to manage a customer.

Projects

Projects are the core of the platform architecture and allow grouping of devices and the data they collect. A project belongs to a customer. Access Manage Projects to manage a project.

Users

Inzwa Cloud defines two types of users. Tenant Users are users within your organization that require access to manage customers, projects and devices. Customer Users are users associated with your customers who require either alarm notifications or login access to the platform. These users have these additional features.

  • Tenant Users

    • Manage customer users and control the projects they can access.
    • Have the ability to configure projects, users, devices in the platform.
    • Can access live help during business hours.
    • Are managed by Inzwa. Contact us if you need additional tenant users added to your account.
  • Customer Users

    • Can receive email or SMS message notifications for any project belonging to their customer.
    • Can access project status or view dashboards in real time and receive alarm notifications.

Devices

Devices are used to collect data. Devices are assigned to projects and can be moved from one project to another. Data generated by devices is assigned to their respective projects and is not available in another project. Each device has a device dashboard which presents data relevant to its application. Access Manage Devices to manage a device.

Distribution Groups

Distribution groups define a group of users to receive notifications when a device alarm is triggered on an associated project. Distribution groups relate customer users to a project. Therefore, the distribution group, customer users and project must all belong to the same customer. Access Manage Distribution Groups to manage distribution groups.

Reports

Inzwa Cloud allows users to generate three types of reports. First, users can download any screen in the system whether that's a project map, alarm report or device dashboard. Users can also configure Inzwa Cloud to deliver these screen reports on a schedule to a group of recipients. Lastly, Inzwa Cloud can deliver a project summary report detailing the activity of devices related to a project. This report is be delivered on a schedule by email to a group of recipients.
